After the success of our monthly Lunch Club we decided to launch an exclusive diners club that caters for people with a love of great food and an interest in learning how to create flamboyant, extravagant dishes.
Join our Head Chef Stewart Williams as he takes you on a journey looking at the birth of modern cooking, the ideas and cuisine of Auguste Escoffier - 'King of Chefs and Chef of Kings'. Each month Stewart will be looking at a different decade in the 20th Century and tracing the development of modern cooking.
This month Stewart will be looking at 1970's dining, which has enjoyed something of a revival of late. Dishes like prawn cocktail, duck a l'orange and arctic roll have made a comeback on professional and home menus alike. The rise in package holidays and the advancement of plane travel started to lead to a more international flavoured menu.
