Stradey Park Hotel will see a massive overhaul in the first couple of months of 2008 with the Alexander Suite and over 60 bedrooms being completely refurbished.

The Alexander suite will see not only a decorative change but it will also receive a massive technological upgrade. This means a massive improvement for conferencing facilities, for weddings and for all those special occasions.

The sound and lighting system was upgraded by the PAI Ltd who specialise in Sound, Light, and Audio-Visual solutions here's a list of just some of the new features:

• Black out motorized sound proof curtains with a remote control
• Flexible scene setting lighting
• Brand new partitioning which is now sound proofed
• Microphone and Projection facilities in every bay
• Customizable chandeliers which colour change options, say for example you had a pink themed wedding, your chandeliers can now transform the entire room to fit in with your theme

the refurbishment will be completed by January 27th, just in time for the wedding fayre

Not only has the Alexander suite received an upgrade, over 60 of the bedrooms will be given a face lift by Pethau Bychain of Carmarthenshire.

The small local company was approached a few months ago and asked to take on the massive project of refurbing the hotel rooms. Previously Pethau Bychain had only ever completed bespoke rennovations of individual homes, so to be given the opportunity to undertake such a large commercial project was an offer that couldn't be passed up.

3 floors of the hotel will receive the new decor, with each floor having its own individual contemporary theme, so each stay at the hotel could prove to be a different experience depending what floor you are on.
